Mary Tappe is moving on
In January our Chairman and founder, Mary Tappe, annouced that she had taken a new job and would be moving out of state.
For that reason, she resigned from our board of directors. Mary has been a driving force for the organization, and will be greatly missed.
Her position will be filled by Julie Shannon and Sarah Ball acting as Co-Chairmen.

Ames Community Schools Heartsafe Program seeks to place AEDs in Ames schools
Along with AED Access for All, Ames Community Schools Heartsafe Program is trying to help Ames Schools beat the odds by raising the funds to place Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in every school building in the district.
AED’s enable a broad range of individuals, other than emergency medical personal to safely administer defibrillation with minimal training. That is why many states have passed legislation requiring defibrillators at schools, and why the Ames Community Schools has developed an early defibrillation program.
The current Ames School District budget will not allow funding of this project so we are asking for help, to fund all of the equipment needs for the Ames school buildings we need to raise a total of $14,737.30. Donations can be made by clicking the Donate button below.
